Beer & Hymns with the Chardon Polka Band!

Join the Chardon Polka Band at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Rd., Chardon, Ohio for Beer & Hymns on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 3:00 -5:30 p.m. This free, fun-filled musical event will benefit the SubZero Mission organization which provides gloves, hats, coats, boots, sleeping bags, and other warming items to the homeless in northeast Ohio.

Light refreshments and soft drinks will be provided by Celebration Lutheran Church and attendees age 21 and older are encouraged to bring a beverage of their choice. Attendees are also encouraged to bring monetary donations for SubZero Mission and/or any of the warming items listed above. Come and enjoy gospel hymns and other assorted music performed as only the Chardon Polka Band can do.

Chardon Polka Band Worship, Concert, and Picnic

Come enjoy the Chardon Polka Band as they lead a polka-style worship service as only they can do at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Road, Chardon on Sunday. July 16, 2023 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Following the worship service, the Chardon Polka Band will be in concert from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m.  During this time, a free picnic-style lunch will be provided by members of Celebration. Those attending are encouraged to bring children (there will be activities for them) and also to bring lawn chairs.  If the weather is inclement, the event will be held indoors.

Donations will be accepted during the worship service and concert to benefit Project Hope for the Homeless and the Lake County Humane Society.

Save these dates!

Watch this space for more information, but save these dates!

July 16 will be our annual Polka Worship service, featuring the Chardon Polka Band. Weather permitting, this service will be held outdoors on the church grounds. Lunch will be provided by Celebration Lutheran Church. Gathering with coffee and donuts begins at 9:30 a.m. Worship will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch and a concert!

This fall, we will celebrate Celebration’s 30th anniversary! Bishop Laura Barbins, former pastor of Celebration, will join us to preside over worship, and we will of course enjoy a festive feast afterward. Date TBD!

What a day!

Our annual Beer & Hymns concert and feast, featuring the Chardon Polka Band and benefiting Sub Zero Mission, was a huge success! We raised over $3100 for Sub Zero Mission!

We filled Sub Zero’s van with donated coats, sleeping bags, boots, gloves, etc.

Thanks to everyone who turned out – to host, to play, to dance, and to simply enjoy the show! If you missed it, you can see the concert on CPB’s Facebook page.

Beer & Hymns

Our annual event with the Chardon Polka Band is happening March 19, 3:00-5:30 PM. A “free will” offering will benefit Sub Zero Mission, and we’ll be collecting coats, boots, gloves and sleeping bags for them, too!
